Star Decals - 2 New 1/72 Gulf War Transfer Sets

72-A 1078 Desert Storm/Gulf War British FV 432 Trojan in the Gulf

With the availability of some neat 1/72 models of the venerable old FV 432 available on the market these days, from both Takom (paired with a Chieftain) and also from a smaller manufacturer, S&M Models, this is a a very welcome set of transfers. Of course there are the black chevrons used by Coalition forces and some some other nice colourful touches as well.

A - FV 432 Mk 2, 32nd Armoured Engineer Rgt, 4th Armoured Brigade, in the standard overall Gulf War British sand.
B - FV 432 Mk 2 Trojan, of 32 Armoured Engineer Regt, 1991 in the standard overall Gulf War British sand.
C - FV 432 Mk 2 Ambulance, of Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, 7th Armoured Brigade in the standard overall Gulf War British sand, with both Red Cross and Red Crescent markings.

72-A1077 Desert Storm/Gulf War British Warriors in the Gulf

This Gulf War set includes examples of both FV 510 Warrior ISV and the FV 511 Warrior ICV. With 1/72 kits available from both Trumpeter and Revell, there is plenty of scope for this new set, especially for having the extra reactive armour panels fitted to both sides of the Warrior.

A - FV 510 Warrior ISV, with a Milan missile unit fitted to the turret roof, in the standard overall Gulf War British sand.
B - FV 511 Warrior ICV, of Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, 7th Armoured Brigade, Op Desert Sabre in the standard overall Gulf War British sand.
C - FV 510 Warrior ISV, of Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, 7th Armoured Brigade, Op Desert Sabre in the standard overall Gulf War British sand, and this one had the fascines of pipes carried on each side which would give it a quite different look.
D - FV 510 Warrior ISV, in the standard overall Gulf War British sand.

I must add that these are also available in 1/35.
Thanks to Johan of Star Decals for our samples.
