MB Models News for November-December 2025
1) 35251 "Desert Battle Series. Buffalo Clan. To catch a Thief-2"
1/35 scale.
Kit 35251 continues new series of kits dedicated to the Post-apocalyptic subject in 1/24 scale.
Extraordinary popularity of this subject in the area of cinema and computer games forced us to deal with the Post-apocalyptic subject.
The creation of the series of figures under the general name “Buffalo Clan. To catch a Thief-2” was based on a simple plot: after that, as a result of the destruction of the world order, which was accompanied by wars and natural disasters, few survivors were forced to unite in order to survive. Someone united in gangs to rob those who still could take something away, someone united in communities in order to create hope jointly for the future for themselves and their children. And someone survived just by stealing from those who either got their food with great difficulty, or by stealing from the most dangerous gangs. It was just such a gang that the unlucky thief encountered, and now only the quickness of his legs and hope for the favor of the Higher Powers can save him.
The kit consists of three sprues: one sprue for assembling four figures and two sprues with parts for assembling a Buggy model. Assembly instructions are included inside the box.
We would like to emphasize especially that this kit is the part of the series of kits and the figures from this kit can be used either separately to create a very expressive vignette, or using the figures from kit 35140 and other kits of the series to create a larger-scale diorama.
2) 35252 "Deadly Raid. British Commandos, Dieppe, 1942"
1/35 scale.
The interest in the subject of the World War II is still high, and today's war in Ukraine gives a particular meaning to this kit, because almost all the most large-scale fighting of the summer of 1941 took place on the territory of Ukraine that was at that time one of the republics of the USSR.
The story of the kit refers to the initial period of the World War II, when a consolidated group of British and Canadian military men included 1000 British Commandos, supplemented by 50 American Rangers and 15 French volunteers. Overall, the Raid can be considered as an obvious failure. However, the assessment of the results of that Raid in different sources is given differently, so we share the point of view that the Dieppe Raid gave the Allied Forces invaluable experience in organizing large-scale landing operations and led to the successful landing operation in Normandy in 1944. The greatest success in that operation was achieved by the Commandos of the 4th Troop under the leadership of legendary Simon Fraser, better known as Lord Lovat. His Troop was the only one that fully completed the task.
The kit shows four Commandos from that Troop during the capture of the Hess battery.
The kit contains a sprue with figures of four fighters.
Thanks to MB Models for the news.
