MB Models News February 2023
Two new sets of 1/35 figures illustrating the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, from Ukrainian based manufacturer Master Box.
1) 35225 "Russian-Ukrainian War series, kit № 3. Defence of Kharkiv, March 2022" – the kit is performed in 1/35 scale.
Kit 35225 continues the series of kits dedicated to the Russian-Ukrainian war.
This war shocked the whole world not only with examples of inhuman crimes, robberies, executions of civilians and mass rape of women and children done by the Russian army in the occupied territories, not only with the unprecedented heroism of Ukrainians who managed to stop and reverse the forces of the aggressor that are many times greater than the forces of the Ukrainian resistance, but also with showing the defenselessness of the whole world in the face of a cynical and arrogant dictator, showed the inability of international structures, whose mission is to stop such attempts, to take really effective actions, the inability of these structures to protect the world from the consequences of such a war, such as global hunger, global energy crisis and global crisis even of the world's leading economies.
The kit contains a frame with parts for assembling two soldiers of the Ukrainian army. These fighters are in close combat with the enemy. The figures fit greatly for making a diorama showing the fight in the city. The detailing of the kit is rich and allows you to place equipment on the figures in a variety of configurations at the choice of the modeller.
The figures are made at a high artistic level and are rather miniature sculptures. The figures are also animated perfectly and interact with each other well, making up a single plot, a whole story. If desired, the modeller can make both a vignette using this kit, and a larger diorama using other kits of this series.
2) Kit 35226 "Russian-Ukrainian War series, Kit № 4. Territorial Defence Forces of Ukraine. Bucha clean-up from Russian marauders and rapists, April 2022" – the kit is performed in 1/35 scale.
Kit 35226 continues the series of kits dedicated to the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The whole world was shocked by the history of Bucha city, where Russian troops showed examples of inhuman crimes, robberies, executions of civilians and mass rape of women and children. Witnesses said that the Ukrainian soldiers who knocked the Russians out of Bucha and entered the city first cried when they saw what Russian soldiers had left behind.
The kit contains a frame with parts for assembling two fighters of Territorial Defence Forces of Ukraine. These fighters are just standing there, unable to overcome the shock of what they saw. This is the intended plot of this kit. However, the possibilities of this kit are much wider. Firstly, the figures can be used not only as fighters of Territorial Defence Forces of Ukraine, but also as soldiers of the Ukrainian army, since the equipment and uniform in both cases are almost identical. Figures fit greatly for making a diorama using technique or buildings. The detailing of the kit is rich and allows you to place equipment on the figures in a variety of configurations at the choice of the modeller.
The figures are made at a high artistic level and are rather miniature sculptures. The figures are also animated perfectly and interact with each other well, making up a single plot, a whole story.
If desired, the modeller can make both a vignette using this kit and a larger diorama using other kits of this series, such as kit 35223 Trophy or kit 35228 Refugees.
