Messerschmitt Bf 108 in 1/48
...Building the Eduard kit
The Messerschmitt Bf 108 was a trainer/communications aircraft, though in more than 1 movie I can think of they were used to represent the more famous Bf109, though the 108 remained unarmed.
This 1/48 kit from Eduard was easy enough to build and I didn't find any problems with it. Though not easy to see once the cowling is in place, the engine detail is rather nicely done, and can just about be seen through the front of the nose. The 4-seat cockpit is very nicely detailed, and in this Profile kit there is the lovely etched instrument panel which Eduard do so well, along with seat belts. As the canopy is quite large, you will be able to see all that internal detail with the kit completed. There are plenty of options in terms of colours and markings, though I chose a desert camouflaged scheme, with the green mottle camouflage airbrushed on.
