Single Vehicle No 10 from MMP Books. A 28-page soft-cover book
This one opens with a page of 1/35 scale drawings of the Rolls Royce Phantom II, as used by the Polish Commander-in-Chief, Marshal Jozef Pilsudski. Ordered for him and delivered in 1933, it replaced a Cadillac 341B he had previously. The Rolls was given the military registration number 7760. The book is made up of a fine series of archive photos showing the car in use by Marshal Pilsudski, for his various official duties which he carried out during the 1930s. The captions provide all the extra information about the people/places/events that we see. On pages 22-27 are pictures of many specific details of the Phantom II, though it points out that many of these are from a 'representative' example of the Rolls, not the Marshal's car itself. On the final page is some colour artwork with a profile of the car, along with images of the pennants that were flown on the car, along with a civilian registration plate.
A very specific subject this time, but some great history and I am sure modellers will enjoy the scale plans that accompany this historical vehicle. Another nice addition to this series of Single profiles from MMP Books.
Thanks to MMP Books and their distributor Casemate UK for the review copy.
