This is number 9 in the Camouflage & Decals series from Kagero, focussing on the bubbletop version of the famous P-47 Thunderbolt. A 40-page soft-cover book filled with quality artwork illustrations on every page, as well as the back cover.
A series of colour profiles fill this book, with plenty of detail of both colours and markings on a wide mix of illustrations. They are sometimes just a single profile view, while others feature both sides and top surfaces. There are a great mix of colour schemes, from overall bar metal and upper surfaces of Olive Drab, while a few have some more unusual camouflage schemes. Coupled with these the book also includes a sheet of decals/waterslide transfers, which provides markings for both 'Lonesome Lee II', of 359th FS/356th FG, 8th Air Force based at East Wretham in the summer of 1944, and also for 'Stinky', a 365th FS/358th FG of the 9th AF, in Germany in 1945. There are marking for both models and they are provided in both 1/48 and 1/72 scales.
Aircraft enthusiasts will enjoy this, while I am certain that many modellers will especially like it, along with the provision of the decals so you have a couple of alternatives to kit supplied markings. Frankly, the artwork is also a sheer pleasure to look at.
