Title: Real Weathering Vol2
Author: Dick Taylor and Andy Brend
Publisher: MMP Books
ISBN: 978-82-67227-83-4

A new addition to the Green Series of books from MMP Books, distributed by Script Books here in the UK. A 152-page soft-cover book.
Designed for the military vehicle modeller, this second volume has another fine collection of reference photos for you. This one is divided into an Introduction plus another 7 sections, dealing with Dirt & Dust; Wheels & Wheeled Chassis; Engines, Electrical Equipment and Instruments; Engineer and Plant Vehicles; Glass and Sights; Extreme Rust; and a final Miscellaneous element. Hundreds of photos in all, featuring some in-service vehicles, museum exhibits, privately owned historic vehicles at shows and some battlefield wrecks. All sorts of subjects, including AFVs, artillery, trucks, engineering equipment with dozer blades, tractors, patrol vehicles and more. As well as complete vehicles, there are a host of finer details, such as dozer blades, excavator buckets, tyres, worn roadwheels on AFVs, on-vehicle tools, stowage, lights, engines and so much more.
There are no captions to identify the subjects in the pictures, but on the basis they are intended to be real life references for the effects of weathering, that isn't a problem. For the military vehicle fan, it might make an extra bit of fun if you can try your hand at some vehicle recognition. For the military vehicle modeller this is a real boon as a reference source for so many little details.
Thanks to Script Books for the review copy.
