Title: Focke-Wulf Ta 154, TopDrawings 114
Author: Marek Rys
Publisher: Kagero
ISBN: 978-83-66673-41-3
A recent addition to the popular TopDrawings series from Kagero. A 20-page soft-cover book, plus 3 additional inserts of larger fold out sheets and a bit of bonus artwork.
The Ta 154, a design by Kurt Tank prompted by their impressions of the success of the British Mosquito. A wooden construction, not built in large numbers, in both single and twin seat variants. Variants allowed for both both day and night fighters. After a brief text introduction on the first page, in both English and Polish, the rest of the book is packed with scale drawings of the different variants in both 1/72 and 1/48 scales, and this helpfully include a series of cross sections of the fuselage as well. That's not all though, as the 3 large fold out sheets which come tucked into the book hold more fine drawings, not only in 1/48 but also the much larger 1/32 scale as well. The centre 4-pages of the book, plus the back cover of the book have some excellent colour artwork that modellers will enjoy along with the plans. The one added extra is a separate A4 sheet with a lovely bit of colour artwork showing a Ta 154 parked in front of a hanger, which is ideal to be popped into a clip-frame and hung on your study wall.
Another good addition to the TopDrawings series and I am a fan of this new feature of the inclusion of a separate page of artwork which is a great picture to put up on your wall.
