Pz.Kpfw. VI, TopDrawings 99

...from Kagero, via Casemate

Title: Pz.Kpfw. VI
Author: Mariusz Suliga
Publisher: Kagero
ISBN: 978-83-66148-70-3

Number 99 in the TopDrawings series from Kagero, and it takes another WW2 German AFV for the subject, the Pz.Kpfw. VI, the Ausf B Tiger II. A 24-page soft-cover book, plus one additional sheet which folds out for additional 3D views, tucked between the centre pages.
Following the usual for mate for the series, it opens with a page of background notes, provided in both English & Polish. The centre pages and the back cover carry 10 colour profiles, illustrating a number of camouflage and marking schemes found on King Tigers in different combat zones. The rest of the book holds scale plans in 1/72, 1/48 and 1/35 for the King Tiger, fitted with both the Henschel and Porsche turrets, plus a Befehlswagen variant, fitted with a star aerial. In addition to the plans, there are some pages with larger scale drawings showing finer detail of tools and fasteners, drive sprocket, idler and road wheels, hatches, detail of the turret interior and of the complete 88mm KwK 43/L71.
Another one set to be popular with modellers for the detail shown, and knowing that there is a wide selection of models of the King Tiger available these days, including some with interior detail.
